Board Secretary Dr. Terry Weiss is a member of the Provider Services Advisory Board of the St. Louis Regional Health Commission (RHC) and is a Certified Ambassador for the RHC’s Alive and Well STL initiative. He is a cofounder and past president of St. Vincent Greenway, Inc., a community development corporation, and a member of the Community Builders Network of Metro St. Louis. He is a board member of Health Protection and Education Services and the Medical Advisory Board of Enterprise Bank and Trust Company. He is a contributor to St. Louis Public Radio and a collaborator with the Nine Network of Public Media and the Missouri History Museum. He has been an observer and advocate of the Drug Treatment Court of the 22nd Judicial Circuit. He represents Congregation Temple Israel at the Jewish Community Relations Council and is active in formulating the Jewish community response to the events of Ferguson. He knows and has collaborated with Ferguson residents and city officials. He is also a leader in Temple Israel’s “adoption” of Monroe Elementary School of the St. Louis Public Schools, in which the student body is almost entirely African American and 100% of students qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
